Выступление Розы Траверзы (Университет Бари) в ЦФС
1 июля в 15:00 в МВШСЭН состоится совместный семинар факультета социологии и политических наук и культурсоциологической группы ЦФС, в рамках которого с докладом «Metaphors as practices of connection: making sense of language through a psychoidiographic and feminist approach» выступит Розелла Траверза (Университет Бари, Италия)
Розелла Траверза — аспирантка Университета Бари, Италия. В настоящее время она, в качестве визитера, работает в Университете Кларка (США), в исследовательской группе, представляющей направление культурпсихологии (cultural psychology). В рамках доклада Розелла расскажет об идиографическом методе в культурпсихологии в целом, иллюстрируя это материалами своего последнего исследования.

«Metaphors as practices of connection: making sense of language through a psychoidiographic and feminist approach»
The present contribution aims at discussing the central role language can perform for an idiographic perspective in science by emphasizing its agentic potentialities for human experience. This point induces to question a certain way to approach language, that is stressing systematic regularities into linguistic phenomena rather than dynamic processes activated by “real speakers-listeners”. Thus, the focus is an idiographic science of language as an inquiry about talking, considering the rich variety and complexity of real contexts within which human activities may occur and underlining the unrepeatable intentions and dialogical situation of linguistic phenomena. For this purpose, it is introduced the neologism of ‘diatesto’ to highlight the nature of the context, at the same time constructive, dynamic, dialogical and negotiable; then, the analysis shifted on the problem of expression and experience by analyzing the structuring power of metaphor, which commits people in defining a context where it allows them to get trajectories of sense.
The metaphorical approach on science is discussed in order to stress its potential to allow contamination and novelty in human experience, as well as to stress the possibility to overcome dualistic reasonings by showing some metaphorical tools/issues proposed by several feminist authors (Haraway, 1988) to re-frame and deconstruct through new connections certain scientific assumptions.
Along this line, it is questioned the a-critical view on specific dualistic frameworks, i.e. public vs. private and subjectivity vs. objectivity, just by re-thinking the “in-between land” related to these assets in order to re-imagine other, different, pathways to power and knowledge as deriving from some feminist theories and practices of networking.
